I don't think the Twisted Tweed will be getting a mate for a good long while. It's soft and beautiful and I love the pattern and everything, but there's so much else on my plate right now.
Chief among which, of course, is Drunken Bee. Jesus H. Crackers how much do I love this pattern? So much. Much more than before I started knitting it, which was already a lot. The chart was much easier to learn than I had feared, and the result is mesmerizing -- you sort of can't take it in all at once, so your eye just keeps moving, which is one of my favorite qualities of any piece of art.
In fact, I like it so much I'm having a hard time working on anything else.

It's totally fun to knit, right? And those six row units are perfect for reward knitting ("ok: if I jut do X, then I can do 6 rows of the Bee").
I'm going to have to queue the Drunken Bee socks. I'm hearing so many good things about them...

Okay, so I have to admit that I was totally scared of the "Pond Scum" STR. Yes, it seemed like the worst colorway ever. Even after the ingenious Fiberlicious! photo you did, accepting my challenge with such aplomb... but I am convinced! Convinced that Pond Scum can be pretty! Pretty bees!

I think I just finished a pair of socks in this same yarn! Trekking color 147 is what mine were. I've never seen this Twisted Tweed pattern before -- looks great! I've queued it over at Ravelry.

I LOVE Pond Scum, and Drunken Bees too. Like Ashley's Bees, you've hit on some kind of perfect match here.
