*facepalm*

In her youth, my mother was a knitter, a seamstress, and a clerk in a dye and finishing company. I could not possibly count the number of times I have heard her say "make sure to check the dyelot!"

Of course, I don't remember her ever saying "if you're knitting two of something, you should probably use the same needle size for each". But I imagine that's just because she overestimates her daughter's intelligence.

Oh my. I'm so glad I've never done that. Pretty socks even if they are 2 different sizes. What pattern is it?

I would never have noticed if you hadn't told :) Instead, I would have simply said, "Oooohhh, those are some pretty socks." And now I'll say instead, "Oooohhhh, those are some pretty socks." Does size really matter when it comes to feet ;) !

Heh. I'm laughing, but only in sympathy. Been there, done that. Only--see, and this is where you're totally ahead of the game--I went a needle size DOWN, creating an unwearably too small sock.

Oh noooo - but honestly, I wouldn't know it by looking at the sock. I just hope it isn't too big!

I think everyone has one foot that is a bit bigger anyway. I do!

Oh dear...I wouldn't have noticed it either...Like Ashley, I was so intent on the music at the Oregon Jamboree one year...Dwight was playing...but I digress...I forgot to return to a larger needle after doing the heel...using handspun yarn!!! Aaarrgh.

I've always been afraid of doing this, setting down a project and then forgetting what sized needles I was using. I still think that the socks look great though, and I wouldn't have noticed either! Love the color too!

Oh, no! Are these your sockpal socks or a pair for you?

oh no!!! that is a pretty easy mistake to make with all the sock needles looking exactly the same!
