Ze sweater, she iz blockeeng.

(Modeled shots coming wery, wery soon.)

Is it weird that I scrubbed my sink more thoroughly for this than I do for things that I eat off of?

When I started this project I figured I could do it in 3 weeks. Instead, I finished the knitting in 2, plus a day for finishing and one for blocking. This was a case of almost pure project monogamy -- the only crafty break I took was to make some lino cuts for The Lady's Earth Day booth.

This kind of almost-singleminded devotion is an increasingly rare thing 'round these parts: last night, for the first time since last summer, I had zero WIPs. In this moment of weakness, I may cave to the power of the chevron scarf.

Ohhhhh... cards!!! I have just been thinking I should finally act on my long-ago daydream of starting up a handmade greeting-card business. This past weekend a friend reminded me of that dream, and I realized that now that there's Etsy I can really try it out without having to worry about logistics of credit cards and storefront. Yay handmade cards!

Hello, from another stella, this one in new zealand (noo zeelund if being phonetic), I stumbled across your blog in the zimmermaina listings. I know of one other stella who knits and blogs, and that there is or used to be a wendy ring, but here there are few stella's, so there is a little happy surprise to find and see the work of a ''name-twin'.

I can't even see straight I love the stripes on your hourglass! That is amazing! And your lithos are beautiful! That's an art form I've touched upon and would love to continue, just haven't yet. Can't wait to see more pics of the sweater.
